Has the Iraq war had negative impacts on Vietnam Vets?
I am at an age where my brothers, male cosuins and ex-husband are all Vietnam Vets. I also know many men who are baby boomers who fought in Vietnam who are now going through Battlefield Flashbacks! I myself have flashbacks of another sorts when the evening news gives us the dead count. Many privileged young men found a way to stay out of Vietnam like pres. Bush did. It is a shame that thse same men are finding it necessary to send our young Americans to be killed and maimed in Iraq.
I think it would be interesting to survey Vietnam veterans to see how many of them think we should be sending our youth off to be in Iraq?
Yes Clinton was another one of those rich kids who got out of serving in Nam. He did no send our youth over to Iraq! You missed my point in my question!
I learned my lesson while I was in the military ( 1969 to 1975 ) and that lesson is “Never trust the American Government”. The Iraq war is wrong and I as a Veteran will now join in the Anti War Protest. We need to end the Iraq war.
